THE AREA

Font del Llop is excellently located in the heart of the Province of Alicante. It is just 10 minutes from the Alicante-Elche International Airport and the nearest train station is in Alicante, 20 minutes from the golf course. In addition, a modern network of roads connects it with the main cities of Spain. Font del LLop Golf Resort is only 20 minutes from the wonderful unspoiled beaches of the Mediterranean Sea, hence the temperature is perfect (18º on average) and with more than 300 days of sunshine a year, it’s the ideal place live, to play golf and practice other outdoor sports. The golf course also enjoys 25 km of free land for hiking and mountain biking.

BEACHES

The province of Alicante has 244 kilometres of coastline and has the largest number of beaches classified as "excellent" in the Valencian Community. These beaches with crystal clear waters are one of the main tourist attractions, since year after year, they receive recognition from the European Union with Blue Flags. Just a 20-minute drive from Font del Llop, you can find the magnificent wide, sandy beach of Urbanova with a small selection of restaurants but no party places making it ideal for families. Then there are the renowned, natural and untouched beaches of Los Arenales del Sol, with its fine sand and wide, golden dunes. It is one of the most valued beaches of the Costa Blanca and it also has beach bars in the summer with all kinds of entertainment (concerts, parties etc.). In Los Arenales del Sol (and the other beaches in the area) there are all sorts of water sports available. Gran Alacant and Santa Pola are close by too.

The island of Tabarca is the only inhabited island in the Valencian Community and is located in front of the city of Alicante, eleven nautical miles from the cape of Santa Pola. This small archipelago has one of the most spectacular sea beds and crystal-clear waters, in a protected marine reserve making it an ideal environment to enjoy diving and snorkeling. You can take a boat, or a “Tabarquera”, from Santa Pola or Alicante (some have a window at the bottom so you can see the marine life) and enjoy a day out.  In Tabarca there are historical buildings, typical Spanish streets with tourist shops, and restaurants with typical fresh fish dishes. There is just a small sand beach on Tabarca but there are lots of little areas around the island where you can sunbathe or go for a swim.

TOURISM

The surrounding areas offer a wide selection of places to visit: cathedrals, sanctuaries, castles, and natural landscapes, to name just a few.  It is impossible to be bored living in this area, whether you like to visit cities, markets, the countryside, or go partying, there is everything close by.

From the municipality of Denia, in the north, to Pilar de la Horadada, in the south, the Province of Alicante has numerous charming places to visit such as Benidorm, Calpe, Altea, Guadalest, Orihuela, Sax, Biar, Petrer, Denia, Jávea or Alcoy.

Alicante is a festive province by excellence and every town or area, no matter how small, in Alicante, celebrates a fiesta with its own unique customs. The Costa Blanca is known for its Moors and Christians traditions, which is most prominent in Alcoy, Villajoyosa, and Crevillente. Alicante has the Fiestas of San Juan where there are bonfires and many fireworks, and Elche celebrates its fiestas in August, with the famous Nit del Albá and Misteri d'Elx.  The atmosphere in these fiestas is wonderful and is an experience worth living!

Elche is known for being the place with the most palm trees in Europe, and the center of Elche with the “river”, and the “Básilica de Santa Maria” are worth a visit.

RESTAURANT 

The resort has a Mediterranean restaurant where you can enjoy fabulous Spanish cuisine and, of course, the star dish of our area, paella. GOLF COURSE

The Golf Course has 18 holes par 72, fully integrated into the landscape of the area. With its American design and Scottish moulding, it is ideal for all levels and types of players. Designed by Blake Stirling and Marco Martin, the Font del Llop golf course offers an international-level experience, providing a pleasant challenge for tournaments of the highest level and for amateur players. The hills of the valley combined with the natural canals and a small river that connects its five lakes, mark the 18 holes and make golf a wonderful excuse to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family. Whether you are passionate about golf or not, it is truly beautiful!

FACILITIES

Font del Llop Golf Resort has a spacious and comfortable Club House, where you can enjoy the restaurant, with its extensive menu of international food and traditional Spanish dishes based on the Mediterranean diet and the rice dishes of the area.  It is a haven, perfect to relax and regain strength while contemplating the beautiful landscape. In addition, Font del Llop offers you a Pro-Shop with personal advisory service so that you have all the material you need at your fingertips.  There will be commercial areas, a hotel, and a sports area once the development is finished.

CLUBHOUSE

The Club House is in a modern building divided into several rooms and located in the highest part of the land. From the terrace you can enjoy the spectacular views of the golf course, specifically 12 of the 18 holes that the course has. This large terrace is perfect for relaxing and celebrating all kinds of outdoor events, lunch, dinner, a snack, or just a drink. Likewise, the Club House has private rooms for members, a restaurant, an event area, changing rooms, a bag store, a specialised shop, and a large car park.

CADDY MASTER

The Font del Llop Caddies are professional experts in the operation and characteristics of the golf course, so they can advise you on the game and solve any doubt or query you may have. They offer a close and personalised service to make your experience at the resort as rewarding as possible. In addition, they have free lockers for customers and partners so that you can leave your belongings and play without worries.
